Namaste is a woman in the prayer hand pose that is used with the word Namaste. One of the interpretations of namaste is: The divine in me honors the divine in you. It is a tangent to my elemental goddess series and it was inspired by a photograph of singer Naia Kete that was taken by Lee John (both of the band Say Real).
The flesh tones of Namaste are Liquitex acrylic paint and the rest is General's Kimberly watercolor pencil on Canson watercolor paper (18" square). It took me about 24 hours finish, in 2015. Once complete, it was covered with a spray varnish. The painting has an acid free mat that makes it 24" square and a foamboard backing. It is framed with a thin plexiglass sheet and Swiss Corner Clips, and it includes a Certificate of Authenticity.
